Our firm is looking for a part-time experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic and supportive environment located in Shelby Township, MI, where they can make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions

• Prepare financial statements

• Prepare individual and business federal, state, and local reports and tax returns

• Review individual and business federal, state, and local reports and tax returns

• Prepare projections for income tax planning

• Payroll tax knowledge

• Maintain knowledge and awareness of current tax laws and regulations

 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

• At least 5 years of public accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and laws

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products

• Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks

• Proficient knowledge of UltraTax preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with small/medium sized business owners

• Ability to successfully work independently and with a team

• Attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
