Our client, Modesto Battery Company & Supplies, Inc., is a battery supplier in Modesto, California. Modesto Battery has hand selected the top battery manufacturers to provide their customers with the highest quality batteries for automotive, agriculture, commercial and more!

They are seeking an extremely motivated driver that is a sales-oriented individual. Who is reliable, trustworthy and responsible. Modesto Battery offers a Monday - Thursday (7:30 am - 4:30 PM). This is a 30-32 hours a week driving position for someone with basic knowledge of the industry. You will be responsible for ensuring deliveries and pick ups as far south as Madera, CA and as far north as Lodi, CA. 

Job Description:

• Operate delivery vehicle safely, responsibly, and defensively.
• Drive delivery 26 foot box truck (bobtail) truck to deliver batteries.
• Accurately document transactions and receive payment from customers.
• Promote sales of new products.
• Resolve customer complaints for optimal customer satisfaction.
• Load and unload box van, stock product at delivery location.
• Maintain your delivery vehicle.
• Assist in warehouse when needed.
• Navigate a variety of routes throughout delivery area.
• Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
• Lift batteries up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Manage maintenance on delivery truck.

Qualifications for the position include:

• Have a clean and valid DMV record for the past 3 years.
• Pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience in similar truck.
• Organization and time management skills to follow a route and time schedule.
• Good reading, writing, math and problem solving skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• General knowledge of batteries.
• Professional appearance.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work in inclement weather, whether hot, cold, windy, or rainy.
• Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
• Bilingual a plus.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Light sales/batteries knowledge.
• Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail and an organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in United States.
• Must provide own transportation to work.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.
• Pass a Physical Examination.
• Available to work Monday through Friday.
