GEE Group is partnering with a manufacturing company in Cleveland to find an experienced Controller to lead financial operations. This role is ideal for a strategic financial professional with a strong background in cost accounting and manufacturing finance.
About the Role:
As the Controller , you will be responsible for driving financial accuracy, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and provide valuable insights to guide business decisions. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis , working closely with leadership to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Additionally, this position involves mentoring a small accounting team , ensuring best practices are upheld, and managing external audits and tax planning.
What We’re Looking For:
· Extensive experience in manufacturing finance , including cost accounting and process improvement.
· A proven leader who can manage financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
· A background in ERP systems, financial forecasting, and variance analysis .
· Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements .
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ( CPA or CMA preferred ).
· A strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and communication skills .
