The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence. Mandatory Requirements: Expert knowledge of East Africa, including societal and cultural trends, as well as a deep understanding of relevant US foreign policy priorities; proven ability to synthesize complex issues involving East Africa for senior policymakers. Superior ability to effectively plan and lead the development of high-quality, complex analyses, studies, projects, assignments, and briefings on key US foreign policy and national security objectives focused on East Africa for IC consumers and policymakers at the highest levels of government. Superior ability to apply extensive knowledge of ODNI, IC organizations, and relevant customer organizations or operations (e.g., NSC, State, military, and development and financial departments and agencies) to effectively translate their requirements and provide appropriate output or responses to meet customer needs. Expert knowledge of IC policy and procedures and demonstrated knowledge of analytic tradecraft; demonstrated ability to communicate intelligence information and judgments to generalists as well as specialists. Superior oral and written communications skills, including established ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the IC, deliver effective oral presentations, prepare finished intelligence assessments and other written products with emphasis on clear organization and logical presentation, and represent the NIC in interagency meetings. Superior levels of flexibility and ability to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information and requirements; demonstrated ability to support group decisions and solicit opinions from coworkers. Expert ability to oversee and direct information sharing programs and promote information sharing practices across the USG, ODNI, and IC. Superior and recognized analytic and critical thinking skills, including superior ability to think strategically. Expert ability to execute senior-level guidance in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into specific objectives with appropriate metrics and methods to track progress towards meeting those goals. Superior ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment, and mentor junior colleagues. Expert ability to lead and promote the development and use of a broad range of methodological tools and approaches to research, analyze, and present data (modeling, link analysis, or software). Superior interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, in working with individuals at the highest levels of the IC and government in justifying, defending, negotiating, and resolving significant and controversial issues. Creative problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to provide leadership in carrying out mission responsibilities. Bachelor's degree.
