Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join this dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient transportation operations by coordinating logistics and managing communication between drivers and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of transportation management systems.
EXPECTED PAY 

Duties

• Manage daily dispatch operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to coordinate schedules and resolve issues.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management to optimize routes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and track shipments throughout the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs and shipment details.
• Implement transportation planning strategies to enhance operational performance.
• Provide support in troubleshooting any logistical challenges that may arise during transit.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette.
• Familiarity with AS400 or similar software systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and transportation planning methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using phone systems and other communication tools for efficient coordination.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
