Base pay range $175,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr Our client, a prestigious global investment bank, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join its dynamic Consumer Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) group in New York City. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile transactions in the consumer sector, offering exposure to top-tier clients and complex deal structures. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving advisory services and transaction execution for consumer-related M&A deals. Key Responsibilities : Transaction Execution : Lead and support all aspects of deal execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials. Client Interaction : Work closely with senior bankers and clients to manage relationships, coordinate strategic discussions, and deliver superior client service. Market Analysis : Conduct industry research, competitive benchmarking, and analyze market trends to support the strategic direction of M&A transactions. Team Collaboration : Manage and mentor junior analysts and associates, overseeing the day-to-day work of the team, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining high standards. Strategic Advisory : Participate in the development of tailored M&A strategies for consumer sector clients, including advising on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raising. Qualifications : A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in investment banking or related fields (M&A advisory, private equity, etc.) with a strong focus on the consumer sector. Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques (DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis). Strong understanding of M&A transaction processes and the ability to handle complex deal structures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and clients. A highly motivated and results-driven individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. MBA or other advanced degrees (a plus, but not required).
