Summary :

Greenfield Savings Bank is seeking a full-time network administrator. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and support of the Bank’s wide area and local area networks (WAN/LAN), systems, applications, and security. This includes firewall configuration and maintenance, storage area networks, cloud management platforms, vulnerability management, physical and related monitoring and management tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance, configuration, and operation of network infrastructure, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, prioritizing security and performance
• Ensure proper configuration and patching of network related devices and systems, adhering to the Bank’s standards
• Oversee and execute the implementation and management of network systems including IPS/IDS, Wi-Fi, anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spam, and other systems for maximum network security
• Troubleshoot networking hardware and software, document issues and resolutions utilizing ticketing system and knowledgebase
• Participate in the department’s data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and test activities
• Responsible for creation of documentation for procedures, change control documentation, plans for projects or new implementations, and end user training
• Tier 2 support for Helpdesk staff; responsible for fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of systems
• Participate in establishing and enforcing policies and procedures related to LAN, WAN, security, and acceptable use of the Bank’s computer and information assets
• Participate in vendor selection, technology evaluations, and design decisions
• Travel to branch locations and participation in an on-call rotation for after-hour break/fix support may be required
• Other duties, as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, or 3-5 years of equivalent experience
• Thorough understanding of networking protocols, LAN and WAN networking
• 2+ years of Microsoft Windows, M365, and Azure experience
• 2+ years of Meraki, Sophos, and/or Ubiquiti experience
• Experience with application virtualization, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and VMWare
• Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Defender)
• Ability to independently problem-solve and collaborate and work within a team
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proven ability to keep current on IT security trends
• Ability to lift 30lbs

Desirable Skills:

• Industry certifications in networking and security related fields (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
• Prior experience working in a financial institution
• Experience implementing and supporting Banking applications and systems
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell)
