Position : Plant Operations Manager
Location : Medina, OH
Compensation : $130,000 - $140,000 per year

Position Overview

A leading automotive manufacturing supplier seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee plant operations with a strong focus on quality, cost-efficiency, and production targets. This high-impact role involves supervising production activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automotive manufacturing leadership and demonstrates potential to advance to a Plant Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily plant operations to ensure timely production and delivery within cost targets.
• Lead production improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor and report on labor efficiencies, machine utilization, and other key performance metrics.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship for Production Supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, with a focus on 5S housekeeping and emergency protocols.
• Implement and uphold quality standards, reinforcing the company’s commitment to excellence.
• Develop team members by providing training, promoting safety, and fostering strong teamwork.
• Address downtime and process issues using 8D corrective actions to enhance productivity.
• Collaborate across departments to optimize production processes and ensure schedule adherence.
• Actively participate in strategy meetings and support new program launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Significant experience in automotive manufacturing leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities and familiarity with budgetary controls.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience with new program launches.
• Strong organizational skills and high degree of professionalism.
