We're looking for a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at a dynamic Article 31 clinic. You'll play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to our patients, from evaluation and diagnosis to treatment planning and medication management. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a flexible balance between remote and in-person care.
What You'll Do:
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients.
Accurately diagnose or rule out mental health disorders.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans and prescribe medications as needed.
Provide ongoing pharmacologic treatment and monitor patient progress.
Participate in incident reviews and treatment planning sessions.
Contribute to case conferences as needed.
Offer emotional support and strategies to patients to help them manage their conditions.
Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in psychiatry and mental health.
Meticulously document each patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medication, treatment effectiveness, and other relevant information.
What You'll Need:
Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an approved psychiatric residency program with a minimum of 3 years of supervised psychiatric experience.
NYS Board of Psychiatry certification and license.
Current DEA registration.
Expert diagnostic skills.
Thorough knowledge of current DSM criteria.
Familiarity with crisis assessment tools and techniques.
Strong understanding of general psychiatric principles and practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
