Job Description:

CV Resources is partnering with our client, a global parts distributor, to find a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated accounting professional who is either a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or on the CMA track . The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing full-cycle general ledger accounting, accounts receivable (AR), sales tax, payroll, and supporting the financial reporting and close processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, expanding global business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle General Ledger Accounting : Oversee the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions.
• Accounts Receivable (AR) : Manage AR processes, including invoicing, collections, and monitoring outstanding balances. Work with sales teams to resolve customer payment issues.
• Sales Tax : Ensure proper calculation, reporting, and filing of sales tax for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Payroll : Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees, along with proper payroll tax calculations and compliance.
• Financial Reporting & Close Process : Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and closing activities. Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and work closely with senior leadership on financial analysis and reporting.
• Compliance & Audit Support : Maintain and support financial controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies, and assist in audit preparation.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

• CMA certification preferred or actively working toward achieving the certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in general accounting, including AR, sales tax, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems   and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Experience in global companies or distribution industries is a plus.
