Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God is an independent, non-denominational church that is committed to serving God. Located in Vance, SC, this role requires the ability to prepare engaging sermons, prioritize personal prayer and Bible study, and cultivate strong relationship with our congregation. Miracle Faith Temple is prayerfully searching for a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Senior Pastor to join our team and lead our congregation in spiritual growth and service.

Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God is governed by God and a Church Board of Directors of dedicated church members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation.
• Preparing weekly sermons, preaching and conducting worship services.
• Offer comfort, counseling and support to individuals and families who have experienced loss including visit, counsel and care for all ages in homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and hospice as needed.
• Facilitate and encourage spiritual growth and discipleship through the development and implementation of Bible studies and other educational programs.
• Work with church leadership and staff to establish and execute a vision and strategic plan for the church’s growth and leadership development.
• Oversee the management of church day-to-day operations.
• Mentor and equip church leaders and volunteers for effective ministry.
• Willingness to reach out and transition new members into the church.
• Perform other pastoral duties, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred seminary graduate degree with Master of Divinity (M.DIV) degree from an accredited institution or equivalent theological education.
• A minimum of 6 - 10 years of pastoral experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of effective leadership, ministry development, and community outreach.
• A deep understanding of and commitment to the Bible.
• Visionary leadership.
• Exhibit Christian values in daily life.
• Is an effective communicator, has strong preaching and teaching gifts.
• Strong leadership skills, with a passion for empowering others and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize events, and work effectively under pressure.
• Agree with the Bylaws and policies of Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God.
• Meet requirements expressed in Miracle Faith Temple United Church Constitution and Bylaws.
• Pass background check.
• The ability to keep information private when working with congregation members to better counsel and comfort church members in times of crisis.
• Upholds unwavering character and integrity, nurturing a deep spiritual connection through daily prayer and Scripture study.
• A chemistry that fits with Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God.

OTHER:

• Private office.
• Travel may be required periodically.

COMPENSATION:

• The distribution of salary, health insurance, leave, or other designated benefit will be determined upon hiring.
