Oversee SDS Transportation Department Managers to promote quicker problem resolution (both internal and external), better driver support, and to drive delivery efficiencies.
Responsibilities:1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, Strive performance conversations, supporting manager IDPs, and presenting developmental opportunities.
2. Monitor and assist Transportation Department managers in daily operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and dependable delivery of product to our customers that is compliant with all federal, state, local, and Sheetz transportation regulations, policies, and procedures (DOT, CLI, SDS, Sheetz, Inc.)
3. Align area objectives with the strategic goals of the department.
4. Formulate and manage various performance and efficiency metrics and reporting.
5. Develop and maintain annual budgets in collaboration with area leadership; monitor annual expenses for assigned areas of responsibility to maximize profit.
6. Establish job expectations for managers to be used on a daily basis, measuring accountability, and ensuring they are supporting employees and customers in a timely manner.
7. Work with the Safety Professionals to coordinate accident reviews, evaluate hiring criteria, and maintain an uninterrupted hiring and driver training process.
8. Develop, modify, collaborate, and hold people accountable to all processes and SOPs for employees.
9. Responsible to maintain adequate staffing levels to improve efficiency and meet customer needs.
10. Monitor/assist contracted third party leasing shop for management of onsite Sheetz delivery fleet/shop.
11. Collaborate with peers in other SDS facilities to drive consistency within SDS Transportation operations.

Education
Associates degree in transportation or business related field required; Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum 7 years logistics or operations management experience required.
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience required.
Licenses/Certifications
Valid drivers license required.
