Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager with strong 3PL experience and WMS expertise. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces continuous learning, and can adapt quickly to evolving business needs. Success in this role also depends on being an exceptional team player, as collaboration with colleagues, carriers, and clients is critical to achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations using advanced WMS systems.
· Process and verify inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
· Maintain inventory control processes and precise documentation.
· Collaborate with carriers, clients, and internal teams to optimize shipping schedules and resolve logistics challenges.
· Foster a cooperative team environment and work closely with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
· Support and maintain safety protocols and warehouse organization standards.
· Work closely with management and other departments to ensure operational efficiency.
· Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a 3PL environment (strongly preferred).
· Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
· Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, regulations, and best practices.
· Demonstrated ability to learn and master new systems and processes quickly.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
· Valid forklift certification.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience handling international shipments and associated documentation.
· Proficiency with multiple types of forklifts (stand-up, sit-down, reach truck, order picker).
· Demonstrated experience managing diverse cargo types (palletized, loose, oversized, etc.).
· Experience coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
· Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
· Strong technical aptitude with a proven ability to quickly master new software systems.
