The Systems Administrator in the Information Technology Department will be responsible for providing support to end users. Work with IT Team on special Infrastructure projects as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering superior customer service, are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support multi-site Active Directory, including best practices, replication management, group policy objects, domain trusts, federation, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Manage hosted Exchange, including email best practices, day-to-day email management, configuration management, public folders, email archive, e-discovery, and encryption.
  • Administer Azure Active Directory, Office 365, AD Connect, Intune
  • Support unified communications platforms such as Teams phone
  • Implement cloud-based single sign-on experience with Azure AD or similar technology.
  • Manage mobile device management platform, including provisioning and creation of mobile device policies using Intune and/or ManageEngine.
  • Handle Microsoft patch management and deployment.
  • Manage MS Defender and CrowdStrike antivirus, ManageEngine, PRTG, or similar enterprise software tools.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of TCP/IP networks, firewalls, switches, APs and related technologies.
  • Provide timely phone and email support as well as track and resolve issues via ticketing system.
  • Support desktops, laptops, tablets, printers/copiers, smartphones, and applications.
  • Document, analyze, and troubleshoot desktop, server, and network application issues.
  • Other duties s assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

  • A.S degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a System’s Administrator
  • 1-2 years of experience with Cisco/Meraki
  • Experience with high availability/site recovery design principles.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting
  • Available for after-hours support and on-call rotation as needed.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft SQL, and Office 365.
  • Expert working knowledge of Microsoft-based systems and services such as DHCP, DNS, IIS, VSS, DFS, etc.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of storage solutions such as Dell Compellent, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED FOR POSITION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • MCSE Certification
  • CCNA Certification
  • Additional certifications relevant to server technologies and networking.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Veeam backup and replication experience
  • Knowledge of network security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard, ten-key, and telephone; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, reaching, balancing, bending, crawling, handling, feeling, kneeling, climbing, twisting; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working environment is primarily indoors in an office setting and occasionally outdoors for special events; requires some evening and possible weekend hours and requires use of telephone and other office equipment.
