Position: Tableau Developer
Location: Rockville, MD(Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Job Description: •Active Public trust clearance/Or clearable
•Prior experience with HRSA, HHS or other government exp.
•As a Tableau Developer, you will be trusted to own and deliver complex solutions supporting Federal government programs. In this role, a typical day will include:
•Design and develop new dashboards as well as maintain and enhance existing dashboards using Tableau
•Be a creative problem solver bringing innovative visualization solutions to address client's data challenges
•Work with team members to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements in to customized data solutions while keeping the overall end-user experience in mind
•Perform data analysis by developing complex SQL queries, joining multiple database objects and where necessary provide recommendations to the Data Engineering team
•Assist with in-depth analysis of technical problems, suggest short- term and long-term resolutions and an overall roadmap for the completion
•Build visualizations to meet business needs, potentially providing multiple options for the client to choose which best represents their business needs
•Establish and maintain best practices for dashboard and visualization design to ensure consistency and high quality across client's PRF
•Provide system administration support to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and deployments
•Collaborate with the leadership to estimate, plan, and manage new feature development and testing
•Support post deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation and application bug fixes.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED: •Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
•Hands-on experience developing customized solutions within the Tableau platform
•Hands-on experience designing, coding, and implementing Tableau dashboards
•7+ years of experience developing IT systems
•3-5 years of experience with Tableau development
•3-5 years of SQL experience
•Experience integrating Tableau visualizations into web applications
•Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration from various data sources
•Provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and "how-to" assistance
•Work independently to deliver dashboards, including unit testing and data validations
•Work in a team environment, working with Business Analyst, stakeholders, testers and other developers
•Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
•Superior communication skills working proactively and collaboratively with research and non-technical stakeholders to implement and enhance internal and external management reports and public-facing data analysis tools and data sets
•Superior writing and communication skills. Must write succinctly and clearly and explain complex situations in plain English to technical and non-technical audiences
•Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications: •Tableau Certification
•Healthcare Service or Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) agency experience
•Experience version control configurations (Github, Azure Repo) for Tableau development
•Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as, but not limited to: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban.
