The clinical services provided include telemetry monitoring, patient and family education, physical assessment, post procedure recovery, pre procedure monitoring and preparation, oxygen therapy, blood administration, pain management, IV therapy, sheath removal, radial hemostasis band management, and medication administration. 

 

  • Number of Beds: 24 
  • Patient Population/ Typical diagnosis: Advanced Heart Failure and Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD), Cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Dysrhythmias, Valvar Heart Disease, Congenital Heart Disease, pre and post Cardiac Catheterization, Structural Heart, and Electrophysiology procedural care
  • Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.

  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Nursing certification preferred. Completion of formal preceptor training workshop.

  • BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments. I f promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UNE criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488.
