Semi-Conductor Reliability Engineering Intern

Summary of Role:

Candidate will support the performance of product qualification tests and process reliability experiments on semiconductor circuits and test structures. Candidate will report to an Electronic Design Consulting Engineer. This position offers interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to real world industrial products and practice.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Identify and prepare samples for reliability tests
• Develop test fixtures and/or circuit boards for environmental tests as required; may include mechanical assembly and soldering
• Make DC and RF electrical measurements
• Execute qualification and/or reliability tests
• Perform statistical analysis of measurement results
• Support failure analysis as required
• Report results, including recommendations for reliability improvement
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Completion of at least two years of a traditional four-year degree program, majoring in EE, Physics, Materials Science, or other technical discipline
• Basic understanding of electrical measurements
• Basic understanding of electronic principals, including understanding of semiconductor devices
• Basic computer programming skills
• Familiarity with data analysis software tools, such as Excel, MathCad, Minitab, or JMP desired
• Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
