We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Manager of Grants Accounting to join our team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a key role in our organization's financial growth and stability. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of grant processes, from research and proposal writing to reporting and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of federal grants, contract budgets, and non-profit accounting principles.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of grant processes including research, proposal writing, submission, administration, and reporting.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all relevant regulations and guidelines related to federal grants, particularly in the construction industry.
  • Develop and manage contract budgets in compliance with grantor requirements and organizational policies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely grant reporting to all funding sources.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to integrate grant requirements into the organization's overall financial planning and reporting.
  • Monitor grant expenditures to ensure funds are utilized in accordance with grantor stipulations.
  • Use HHS Accelerator and other relevant software for grant management and reporting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with funding sources, responding to inquiries and keeping them informed of our progress.
  • Provide guidance and training to other staff members on grant compliance and reporting requirements.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in grant management, preferably working at a nonprofit.
  • Proven experience with HHS Accelerator, grant reporting, federal grants, non-profit accounting, and HUD.
  • Detailed knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and federal grant regulations.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to develop and manage budgets.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial staff and funding sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
