Job Description:
This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with a diverse range of interests to be exposed to the full scope of HR functions (e.g. Employee Relations, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Analytics, and Talent Management) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
It's an ideal role for somebody who wants to roll up their sleeves & help make a big impact while continuing to elevate their valuable HR experience.
The HR Coordinator/Generalist is responsible for supporting the Senior Director, Operations HR and team in a variety of HR areas, projects and administration for employee groups (salaried, salaried non-exempt, and hourly).
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the design and implementation of people solutions to address enterprise and functional strategies
Provide a high level of customer service to all client groups and HR
Coordinate and support HR activities and projects on behalf of the Senior Director and team; this includes creating org charts, presentations, spreadsheet collection projects and administration such as T&E, invoicing, travel etc
Maintain, update, collect and create reporting required
Identify opportunities to modernize current HR processes and drive new strategic HRBP model
Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives. Participate in corporate HR project teams and programs
Partner with supervisors and managers regarding employee relations issues
Generate ideas for and champion employee relations activities to foster positive employee morale and interaction
Facilitate conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to employees, supervisors, and managers
Partner with the recruitment team to facilitate/coordinate hourly and salaried interviews, conduct on-boarding, and new hire orientation.
Drive high participation in employee engagement surveys and annual enrollment sessions.
Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions and/or employee terminations
Act as a change agent to further enhance organizational growth and development
Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills:
Tech savvy: Demonstrated experience learning new systems, and/or have used an HRIS (Workday preferred).
Intermediate skills in working with all programs in the Google Suite.
Flexibility: You roll with the punches.
You prefer a fast-paced and dynamic environment an are agile and comfortable enough to keep up as plans change and evolve.
Ability to multi-task: You've demonstrated the ability to balance and manage multiple priorities with accuracy, efficiency, and in a timely manner due to your strong organization skills.
Collaboration: You're the consummate team player, able to build strong relationships and effectively partner with other team members to achieve results. You understand how your work (& the way you communicate it) is important to other people.
Communication: You can speak and write in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relative field along with 3+ years of demonstrated HR/employee relations experience
Previous experience in HR as a Generalist or administrator
Possess demonstrated problem-solving abilities along with strong time management & prioritization skills
Possess advanced communication skills that can be utilized in day to day interactions with all levels of the workforce
Experience managing conflict, project management & completion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to travel on occasion (approx 15%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Labor Relations, or other relevant field of study
Experience using Workday
Progressive HR experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment, distribution, production or big box/wholesale retail environment
