Job Description

We are seeking a Research & Clinical Investigator passionate about ensuring the sound science of our nutrition and personal care products, along with developing relevant and meaningful products that address key customer needs in the global health and wellness space.

Evaluate Scientific Evidence for Claim Substantiation

• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, safety, and regulatory teams to craft scientific stories and compelling substantiated claims for nutritional products.
• Translate complex scientific principles into consumer stories and education.
• Monitor policies, standards, and practices ensuring strong claim substantiation.

Oversight of Clinical Trials & HUT

• Responsible for managing either in-house or outsourced clinical research to substantiate unique claims, uncover and generate intellectual property, and to develop research publications.
• Oversee study execution and results analysis and then translate the results into consumer-friendly and regulatory acceptable claims and stories which support the efficacy of our products.
• Oversee IRB, protocol, clinical execution & evaluate data on clinical trials.
• Responsible coordinating and evaluating results of Home Use Testing (HUT).

Identify New Technology

• Responsible for front-end innovation with concept development using new ingredients. development and technologies scientific insights and executing innovative product concepts with unique technologies to meet consumer needs.
• Work on front end research, helping to identify relevant mechanisms of action and outcomes, and to partner with internal teams and/or external partners to advance ingredient and product technologies.
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to understand consumer needs, market landscape, and opportunities for innovation.

What You Need:

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Bioscience, Nutrition, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Microbiology or related discipline
• Minimum 2 -3 years background in scientific research, methods, analysis and data interpretation and publication
• Track record of scientific presentations and/or educating the public on health and wellness
• Ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts into consumer appropriate language, to enable communication and understanding of the science underlying the product
• Interpersonal skills to influence and inspire both internal and external audiences
• Experience leading clinical studies in an industry setting is helpful
• RD (Registered Dietician) Certification, ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals) Certification, or naturopathic background helpful.
• Ability to work on site up to 3 days a week.
