Job Description
We are hiring a Second Shift Lead (Friday-Tuesday-4:00 PM-12:30 AM) to supervise, coordinate, and execute receiving activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation at our Columbus Ohio location. This full-time hourly position starts at $24/Hour and will report to the Facility Manager to support our customers with high quality, accurate, and timely service.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Communicating with Support and Merchant
- Determines inventory locations for incoming products.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases.
- Monitors in-transit and arrived advanced shipping notice
- Measure and quantify products coming into the warehouse.
- Accomplishes organization and inventory accuracy by completing starting and ending shift checklists.
- Non compliant receiving.
- Identification of non-compliance.
- Documentation of issue.
- Remedy of non-compliance.
- Label, Downstack, Create return/ASN
- Bill for compliance charges.
- Closed and put away.
- Merchant QA Inspection.
- Documentation of the QA issue.
- Refurbish or remedy the defective quality.
- Scheduling, Execute, Inspect.
- Bill for QA and work.
- Received in and put away.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.
- Effective skills in problem solving, planning, staffing, and executing warehouse operations.
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce; to effectively develop employees, and communicate objectives.
- Available during non-standard hours, access to a cell phone, and able to respond to after hour emergencies.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and technology equipment including WMS and (RF) Scanners.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum three years of previous leadership experience in receiving operations.
- Minimum one years in an environment picking, packing into parent units, and building pallets for shipment.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to sit for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse; and stand, climb, kneel, stoop and squat, as needed.
- Ability to turn steering wheel on lift truck requiring full rotation of arms and shoulders.
- Must be willing and able to safely lift up to 50 pounds, and slide, push, or pull cases up to 50 pounds.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
