Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for financial management and a strong desire to lead? We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our Accounting + Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role where your insights and expertise will have a direct impact on the financial health and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and payroll.
2. Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
3. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management, highlighting key business drivers, trends, and variances.
4. Directing and coordinating the company's budgeting and forecasting activities to maximize profitability and return on investment.
5. Managing the cash flow and preparing cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
6. Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
7. Working closely with the management team to develop strategic financial plans for the company.
8. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a finance/accounting management role.
3. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is a must.
4. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and budgeting.
5. Demonstrated experience in cash flow management and preparing financial statements.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent leadership abilities to oversee the financial team.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
